Explore Wild Life This Summer: Discover the Interrelationships of the Animal Kingdom With Modeled Animals, Biome Kits, and More

Safari Ltd® TOOB® South African Animals

School is officially out of session, the days are abundant in warmth and sunlight, and splashes and shouts from swimming pools can be heard all around: summer is officially here!

Alongside the Scott Family Amazeum’s thrilling camps and events, the museum store is also diving into the summer season. Continuing the Biomimicry Bonanza theme from May, the shelves of the Curiosity Corner are featuring a variety of nature-inspired products which will last until the end of June! Like the South African Safari TOOB, which features highly detailed miniature animal figures from this diverse region.

Biomimicry Bonanza offers guests of all ages interactive activities to immerse themselves in the captivating realm of the natural world. Construct your very own animal habitat, marvel at nature’s enchanting acts, and create masterpieces inspired by Mother Nature’s splendor. The Panda's Bamboo Forest includes real seeds to show children how to nurture plants while also learning about endangered species.

Stop by the Curiosity Corner and gather materials to craft your own habitat or click to shop online and have your materials delivered to your door! The store offers various model animals such as giraffes, zebras, lions, and many more creatures found in the diverse regions around the world. The Mojo Wildlife Animal Blind Bag is the perfect product to obtain realistic fauna to include in the habitat. Free habitat coloring sheets are also offered to use as backgrounds. Additionally, painting and modeling shoe boxes are a great DIY option to construct a backdrop for a wildlife diorama. Don’t forget to think about what your animal’s habitat needs to fulfill its needs! What will it eat? Is there a lake or river for it to drink water? Does it like to shelter in a cave or trees?
